Features [back to top]
  • Rated 2.5 Amps
  • Cool grey flame retardant moulding
  • Protection operational indictator light
  • Thermal overload protection
The ISP4 has a neon light which indicates protection operational. The light will extinguish should a high energy strike destroy the internal protector, however power will still be supplied to the associated equipment. Should the light go out the unit must be replaced to restore surge protection.
Regulations [back to top]
  • This product has a 'failsafe' arrangement of surge protection to guarantee the thermal link blows and indicates failure unlike the arrangement used by most of our competitors which could mean the loss of protection without indication thus leaving your equipment exposed to further surge damage.
  • Thermal overload protection fitted as standard. Surge protection products where protection elements are not fitted with this safety feature can overheat under fault conditions, and give rise to the risk of electric shock or fire.
  • Satisfies the recommendations of BS6651 1991 Appendix C
  • Protection elements comply with the latest issue of UL 1449 Transient Voltage Surge Suppressors (August 1996)
  • Tested against 'worst case' conditions as defined in International Standards IEEE C62.41 - 1991 Cat B2 (test wave 8/20us)
  • Complies with the IT safety standard EN 60950
